General Manager In-Training
Position:           General Manager in Training
Reports To:      District Manager
Schedule:         40+ Hours per week, includes weekends and holidays
FLSA Status:    Salaried - Exempt
Purpose of Position:  The General Manager will guarantee an extraordinary customer experience and unbeatable value by achieving high performance through human resources management.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • 5 years proven management experience in a retail environment
  • Knowledge of Gross Margins and previous accountability for P&L
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Category sales analysis ability
  • 3 years proven experience in developing and motivating staff; experience in HR procedures
  • Basic Computer Skills including Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to lead teams to achieve results
  • Commission sales management ability
  • Experience in major warehouse operations and inventory control
  • Working knowledge of Loss Prevention practices
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
